Endoscopic study on zonal gastritis

Detailed endoscopic examinations were made on zonal gastritis (ZG) adjacent to regions of chronic gastritic ulcer . ZG appeared during healing of ulcers and was more frequent as healing progressed. Mild depression, fading of color or reddening were the major endoscopic findings in regions of ZG. ZG seemed to be a factor in the recurrence of chronic ulcers.
