A case is presented where uretero-cervical urinary fistula was consequent to performed cesarean section. The fistula was formerly misdiagnosed as vesico-vaginal; the 1st surgical intervention was by the vaginal access and was unsuccessful. As proper diagnosis was made later during surgery, the left ureter was reimplanted to the urinary bladder and the cervical fistula was closed. The result of the 2nd operation was good. The proper diagnosis of the fistula type occurring as a sequence of obstetrical operations may be sometimes difficult; albeit, it is absolutely necessary; otherwise surgical success is impossible.
