A trial of emepronium bromide for the treatment of urinary incontinence in the elderly mentally ill

A double-blind controlled trial was conducted to emepronium bromide against placebo in elderly mentally ill patients in hospital with urinary incontinence. No significant difference was found between 200 mg emepronium bromide 3-times daily and placebo in treating day-time or nocturnal urinary incontinence for patients suffering from chronic organic brain syndrome or from chronic functional psychiatric illness.
