Cytomorphological substantiation is given of various types of pulmonary and bronchial affection in sarcoidosis of the respiratory organs in 180 patients. The endoscopic picture in affection of the large bronchi in sarcoidosis is described in detail. Sarcoidosis of the large bronchi is observed in 31.4% and that of the peripheral bronchi in 50.4% of cases. Data are given on sarcoidosis affection of pulmonary tissue in so-called stage 1 of the process, i.e., in adenopathy without X-ray changes. Different methods of endo- and transbronchial biopsy were used as follows: direct, puncture needle, brush catheter and intrapulmonary punch types. Effect of the indirect biopsy was noted in 30.5% of cases, puncture in 56.1%, brush catheter in 50.4% and intrapulmonary in 95% of cases. Combined bronchopulmonary examination of patients with sarcoidosis of the respiratory organs should be conducted in all stages of the disease process.
