On the basis of microscopic observations, branches coming from the posterior cerebral artery, the superior cerebellar artery, and posterior communicating artery and the middle choroidal artery were found to constitute the main source of the vascularization of the oculomotor nerve nuclei in the dog's brain. The arterial vessels coming to the area of nuclei of the oculomotor nerve belong to 3 groups: arteries of the medial and the lateral group of the interpeduncular fossa, arteries of the lateral group and arteries of the posterior group of the mesencephalon. The vessles of the medial group of the interpeduncular fossa contribute most to the vascularization of the complex of nuclei of the oculomotor nerve. Microscopic observations showed the differentiation in the degree of the vascularization of the oculomotor nerve nuclei in the dog's brain.
