The effects of terbutaline, a .beta.2-receptor stimulating drug, in 9 O2 or transcutaneous PO2. Except for a moderate tachycardia, no side effects were noted. .beta.2-receptor stimulating drugs may have beneficial effects in the treatment of neonatal respiratory disorders accompanied by hypoxia. One possible explanation is a decrease in the pulmonary vasoconstriction induced by hypoxia.
