Clinico-functional and laboratory data from 120 patients, operated on for bilateral diseases of the kidneys and upper urinary tract are reported. A working scheme of intensive therapy was developed; this included surgical intervention, correction of systemic changes and metabolic disorders, general therapeutic measures and treatment of complications.
