Hydronephrosis masquerading as ovarian pathology

The clinical and radiographic findings are presented in 2 cases of hydronephrosis masquerading as ovarian pathology. Entities previously reported as simulating ovarian masses include lymphomatous masses, ectopic pelvic kidney, mesenteric cyst, massively distended urinary bladder, distended fluid-filled loops of small bowel, matted loops of large bowel bound together by adhesions, and loculated ascites.
