Malignant plasmacytic lymphoma with paraproteinemia G

The rarity of malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma [MNHL] was discussed. Among 108 patients with plasmacytoma, no patients with acute plasmablast leukemia [APL] and only 4 patients with plasmacellular MNHL were recorded after a 12-yr observation. A case history of a 58 yr-old man with a malignant plasmacellular MNHL (which began as an APL with a benign course) was described. A clinical-hematologic remission was obtained with cytostatic drugs (endoxan, vincristine and prednisolone) combined with symptomatic drugs. Nine months later the disease acquired typical lymphoma features with tumor proliferation into the CNS and internal organs. In the terminal stage, indications of multiple-tumor form of plasmacytoma appeared with destruction of flat and long bones. The constant presence of small quantities of G paraprotein type confirmed the presence of a minimum of 2 clones of tumor plasmacytes during the entire course of the disease.
