Anatomical and esthetic analysis of the nasal tip is carried out. Critical review of various surgical maneuvers applicable in tip reduction is provided. Comments are made on the dynamics of tip alterations. A new method of nasal tip reduction with excision of skin through external rhinoplasty is described. Its advantages over the currently used tripod excision for grossly projecting nasal tips are outlined.
