Patients (11) with chronic low back pain completed a 1 yr clinical trial of Jungmann's antigravity leverage device (Levitor). There was a significant reduction in both the pelvic index and subjective pain ratings, and in postural improvement. These observations are consistent with Jungmann and McClure's theory of static decompensation and support the efficacy of their antigravity leverage technique using the appliance.
