For fixed-time rate analysis the turbidity curve, which is the reference system of immunturbidimetric protein determination, depends on the time of 1st measurement, on the subsequent measurement time interval and on the composition of the reaction medium. The IgG/anti-IgG system was chosen as an example to demonstrate how the reaction parameters can be optimized. In this context particular consideration was given to some of the analyzers commonly used in larger laboratories (ABA-100, CentrifiChem, Cobas Bio, GEMSAEC, Gilford 3500).
