The legal principles involved with patient information were described from a medicolegal point of view, and practical examples (lingual anesthesia, mandibular anesthesia, rsults of detaching the labial frenum, pulpal devitalization under bridges, damage claims for incorrect treatment) were presented. The court decisions were discussed.
