Open wedge valgotization osteotomy is used for correction of prorimal femoral varus deformities. Difficulties associated with the use of suitable osteosynthetic material led to development of a new type of bone splint with joint which permits easy opening of fragments with accurate edge-to- edge contact. This operation almost always achieved correction of the diaphysis-epiphysis angle on the operated side to the same size angle as the intact side. This method was used in 10 patients.
