Electrocardiogram transmission - a facilitating procedure in the timely diagnosis of cardiologic diseases

A new diagnostic method of ECG transmission by telephone line was applied. Multicard E-30 apparatus, the product of the Polish firm VARIMEX, was used with its component cardiomonitor CMK-405, the product of the Polish firm TEMED. Unlimited distant range, permanent diagnostic procedure and timely introduction of adequate therapy of cardiovascular patients were made possible by its application in everyday work. One of the first transmitted ECG made in Novi Becej (transmitter station) was presented, and the ECG was registered in the Internal Department of the General Hospital in Zrenjanin (receiving station). The distance between these 2 Vojovodina towns amounted to 40 km.
