Copper-T insertions were performed on 3 women about 25 years of age. The subjects developed pain and metrorrhagia several days, 2 months, and 6 months after insertion, respectively. X-ray and hysterosalpingography revealed that the IUDs had perforated the uterus and migrated into the peritoneal cavity, from which they were removed by laparotomy.
