Ureaplasma-like organisms isolated from the lungs of mink kits were examined by culture, filtration and biochemical methods. In transmission experiments ureaplasmas were found in the nasal cavity of one of four animals but no clinical signs or lesions were seen. Pleomorphic coccobacillary organisms lying alone or in small clusters were found by electron microscopy. It is concluded that the organisms belonged to the genus Ureaplasma, class Mollicutes. This is probably their first record in mink.
