Analysis of accumulated data on the outcome of electric impulse treatment of heart patients using the multidimensional classification method revealed groups of patients in whom results of treatment were affected by similar combinations of factors. Eight such factors isolated were sex, age (6 gradations [GR] from 15-60 yr of age and higher), localization of heart damage (5 GR, mitral stenosis, mitral valve insufficiency, combined mitral defects, complicated heart defects, atherosclerotic and myocardial cardiosclerosis), activity of the rheumatic process (4 GR), circulatory insufficiency (5 GR), duration of existence of ciliary arrhythmia (7 GR, from 1 mo. to 10 yr or more), number of electric impulse treatments in the past (4 GR, from 0-4 and more) and number of defibrillator discharges (5 GR, from 1-5 and more). Prospects for using the multidimensional classification method for the determination of heart patient types according to correspondence of factors and treatment results were discussed. The possibility for prognosis of treatment effect was noted.
