Liver and spleen uptake of 99mTc-labelled human albumin millimicrospheres

The results of liver scintiscanning with 99mTc-labelled human albumin millimicrospheres in a progressive series of 300 patients are presented. Comparison with the results obtained with other radiopharmaceuticals used in the study of the ERS showed that visualisation of the spleen was much more frequent. The advantages of this phenomenon are discussed, and it is correlated with other changes in liver granulopexic function. An account is given of the computerisation of the data obtained with the gamma camera, this method being indispensable in the dynamic evaluation of liver and spleen uptake.
