Joint clinic for prevention and treatment of tuberculosis and lung cancer

Since 1971 this clinic has been reorganized into a joint anti-lung cancer and anti-tuberculosis clinic with the cooperation of all the district's hospitals and the Shanghai Chest Hospital [China]. Through mass mobilization and investigation early cases have been discovered. The network organized the health personnel and those who required special training; methods of early diagnosis were improved. The district's 5 yr survival rate has increased to 8.46%.
