Analysis of pulmonary function and densitometric examinations were carried out side by side in 41 patients with various types of pulmonary disorders. The results of both examination methods show good correlation and enable the physician to make a definite statement on the type of bronchopulmonary disease in the examined patient. The definite information which can be gained via this specific roentgenologic method justifies its use alongside the methods of pulmonary functional analysis.
