The problems connected with the differential diagnosis of ulcerations of the greater curvature of the stomach are considered on the basis of the analysis of 176 observations of ulcerated forms of cancer and 14 benign lesions localized in this area. The importance of the x-ray method for such diagnosis is emphasized. The methods of common x-ray examination of the stomach and the interpretation of the x-ray details are also emphasized. The advisability of using pneumogastrography in some cases is pointed out.
