Coexistence of anomalies in genitourinary system and congenital auricular deformities was previously reported. Urographic tests in 32 patient with microtia. In 11 of these subjects renal anomalies were diagnosed. Roentgenographs of 19 patients showed unexpected abnormalities of lumbosacral spine or of the lowest thoracic section. Persons [100] with normal auricles served as controls. Significantly higher incidence of renal and spinal anomalies in patients with microtia than in general population was statistically confirmed. No relation was found between those multiple anomalies occurence and sex. The side of microtia and the side of renal anomaly are not interdependent or is the type of renal or spinal anomaly associated with the shape of rudimentary auricle.
