The ascorbic acid content of plants [Portulaca oleracea, Eruca sativa, Diplotaxis tenuifolia, D. erucoides, Sonchus oleraceus, Arbutus unedo] growing in the Apulia Region and its variability were investigated. For perservation of L-ascorbic acid it is preferable to store materials at 5.degree. C in polypropylene bags.
