A case (human) of leptospirosis with predominance of a symptom-complex of acute obturation jaundice during the first 10 days was reported . The diagnosis of leptospirosis was confirmed by the agglutination test and lysis on the 14th and 18th days of the disease; high titers of Leptospira antibodies (L. grippotyphosa and L. icterohaemorrhagiae serogroups) were seen. The use of intensive combined immunoantibiotic therapy from the 17th day of the disease produced a good therapeutic effect. An intravital description of the pathological changes in the abdominal cavity organs and the results of biopsy of the liver parenchyma in leptospirosis were presented.
