General activity and isoenzyme spectrum of cytochrome oxidase and malate dehydrogenase in acute and chronic pneumonia with different degrees of inflammation

In patients with acute pneumonia the total activity and the isoenzyme spectrum of cytochrome oxidase (CO) and malate dehydrogenase (MDH) were determined. An increase of the total activity of the enzymes was revealed. This increase correlated with the stage of the pulmonocardiac insufficiency.
