A 63 yr old woman is presented with a rare neoplastic subtotal lysis of the 1st and 2nd cervical vertebrae following trauma. Diagnosis is confirmed by roentgenological examination and transoral histopathological biopsy. An occipitocervical fusion is considered indispensable for sustaining life during a 5 yr follow-up period.
