The authors have analyzed a numerous case material of leg and antebrachium open fractures slowly evoluted or bad stiffened. After a classification of the various types of slow and defective knitting, according to their mechanical and biological etiology. The authors have examined the specific surgical cares, with particular attention about external fixator Hoffman-Vidal, Judet.
