The obstetric future of women operated on for uterine synechiae is not as poor as previously considered. Of 75 women who wanted to become pregnant, 59% did so and 46% had at least 1 living child. Considering only those women who were followed up, 71% became pregnant and 55% had pregnancies with a viable child. When women with only uterine synechiae and without an associated lesion were considered, 8% became pregnant and 67% had a viable child. It is important to screen for an associated lesion by laparoscopy. Hysteroscopy has value when carried out to find synechiae more easily and to control the treatment.
