Membrane heteroorganic antigens of regenerating rat liver

The synthesis of heteroorganic antigens characteristic of the rat kidney cell membranes occurred in regenerating rat liver after a partial hepatectomy as early as on the next day after surgery. It was revealed by an indirect immunofluorescence technique. The effect was reversible, since these heteroorganic antigens were found in the regenerating liver for as long as 12 days after the operation.
