The correspondents analyze the results of a study in which 52 French patients were tested for toxoplasmosis by indirect immunofluorescence and lymph node biopsy and recognize 3 successive histological stages in the adenopathy of toxoplasmosis. They suggest the necessity for systematic biopsies in cases where adenopathy accompanies a positive serological test for Toxoplasma, in order to eliminate the possibility of a malign lymphoma, and stress the value of histological diagnosis, especially since histological changes may sometimes precede serological modifications.
