Natural foci of 4 arboviruses, tick-borne encephalitis, Crimean hemorrhagic fever, Karshi and Bhanja, exist in Kazakhstan. As a result of irrigations and development of the territories, changes in the population densities and species composition of the vectors [mosquitoes, ticks, flies] may occur which would lead to the extension of the existing and appearance of new foci of arboviral diseases. The necessary prophylactic measures could be developed when the features of circulation of the viruses isolated in Kazakhstan and the adjacent republics are established.
