Dirofilarial haematuria in a dog

The urine of a dog in Calcutta, India, contained many erythrocytes as well as microfilariae. The microfilariae were identical to ones in the animal's blood and were identified as Dirofilaria immitis. Dirofilarial haematuria has not previously been reported.
