The cell-mediated response was investigated in guinea pigs immunized with human IgG globulin nonaggregated (A), aggregated in 57.degree. C (B) or aggregated at 63.degree. (C). The following tests were used: macrophage migration inhibition, blast transformation, peripheral blood leukocyte migration inhibition, and histamine fixation. The tests were performed 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after immunization. All parameters tested showed differences in the kinetics of the responses to B and C antigens. The response to less polymerized B antigen, as evaluated by macrophage migration inhibition and blast transformation, appeared earlier (21-28 days) than the response to more polymerized C antigen (35 days). The dynamics of response was variable, depending on the antigen type.
