Diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties of leucoplakia of the renal pelvis

Cases (2) of leucoplakia of the renal pelvis are reported. In the 1st patient, the diagnosis was established after nephrectomy and histological examination of the specimen. In the 2nd patient, it was suspected on urine examination and confirmed on histology. The current aspects about its cause and difficulties concerning its diagnosis and treatment are discussed.
