Unselected adult patients (35) with acute myeloblastic leukemia were treated under 3 different multiple drug schedules. The incidence of complete remission was 40% and the median duration of remission was 10 mo. The median survival of all patients was 10 mo. whereas that of responders was 17 mo. and that of non-responders was 6 mo. The overall remission frequency was significantly higher below age 60.
