A controlled follow-up study of children of childhood tiqueurs is presented based on questionnaires. Children may develop tic by imitating their parents. It was not asked systematically whether or not the former tiqueurs manifested tic after the birth of the children, but in several cases where this was asked, the answer was negative. Parent-child transmission of a characteristic is not necessarily biological, but a genetic basic for proneness to develop tic should merit further investigation.
