Both i.m. and oral progesterone were effective and apparently safe in treating life-threatening OHS in a 4 yr old girl with the Prader-Willi syndrome. Although decreased appetite was not previously reported with progesterone, this patient's formerly uncontrollable eating was much more manageable during progesterone treatment.
