Six cases are described in which Enterobius vermicularis passed through or round the wall of the alimentary canal and caused granulomatous masses in ectopic sites. In 3 cases the worms passed through pre-existing breaches of the intestinal mucosa. In one woman, a gravid female worm had migrated through the uterus and Fallopian tubes to the peritoneal cavity. In 2 other cases male worms were found during operation on the outer surface of the intestine.
