Six cows and 12 buffaloes with staphylococcal mastitis were injected with alum cell-toxoid and aluminium hydroxide gel cell-toxoid of staphylococci. Antitoxin titres increased after vaccination, and Staphylococcus aureus disappeared from the milk. Animals with subclinical mastitis recovered.
