By recording contractions of portal vein isolated sections from albino rats, the 2-phase stimulating and inhibitory effect of mineral water Naftusya was found. The amplitude of contractions and total motor activity in the portal vein smooth muscles depended on the amount of mineral water added to Krebs solution and time of its effect on the muscle. [The possibility of using mineral water for treating kidney and liver diseases was discussed.].
