Clinical features of vibration disease among drillers

The occurrence of vibration disorders in 57 mining drill operators was studied in relation to length of employment, leading clinical symptoms and diagnostic importance of symptoms. The angiodystonic and angiospastic syndromes were seen in the beginning stages of the disease, while vegetative polyneuritis and vegetative myofascitis appeared in the 2nd stage. Subjective and objective symptoms are considered. Treatment included administering of vasodilating and ganglion-blocking preparations, vitamins, physiotherapeutic agents and occupation change.
