Pathogens isolated from 40 patients with hospital-acquired blood stream infections included 2 Candida albicans. In 65 unmatched cases there were 3 cases of C. albicans infection and in another 109 cases of blood stream infection there were 2 C. krusei, 2 C. albicans and 2 C. stellatoidea infections.
