Liver function tests were carried out in 523 donors. Abnormal values for serum bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, thymol turbidity, SGOT test. Antibody titer for isoagglutinins varied from 4-256. A titer > 32 was obtained in high percentage (67%) for anti-A in donors of group B as compared to that of anti-B in 52% donors of blood group A. This difference was not observed in group O donors. Skiagrams of the chest revealed pulmonary tuberculosis and pulmonary emphysema in 4.70% and 5.98% of the donors, respectively.
