Pregnant women and maternity patients up to 20 years of age not only have a lower level of education but also display neurotic personality traits 3 times more frequently than those women over the age of 21. This affects the attitude towards pregnancy; for women up to 20 years, the pregnancy was unwanted and a surprise twice as often as in women in the 21-30 age group. After the birth, women up to 20 years of age wanted to leave the hospital particularly early and almost 1/2 of them wanted to begin work again. (Author's modified)
