Examples of possible nutritional interest include anaemia as cause of a fall; signs of vitamin B-12 deficiency anaemia being attributed by old persons to their age; apparent rapid aging due to K deficiency from poorly chosen diet; faecal impaction and disturbed K balance from lack of water, owing to absence of thirst sensation.
