This article presents some tools, elements of reflections and psycho-educational elements which allow the general practitioner to have a register varied by some means and attitudes and can be adopted to face the multiple challenges which characterize the therapeutic relation in the long-term with chronic painful patients. The primary physician constitutes a very important relay between patient and specialists which, due to its position in the constellation, is, par excellence can make cross certain number of fundamental messages the first one of which consists in informing to the patient that any pain presents a psychological and somatic constituent. And that if the painful chronic patient embodies (literally) a psychosocial suffering, the relational front door to the patient recovers from the soma by means of the complaint.
