A new two-dimentional representation of hydrogen bonding scheme in proteins

A new 2-dimensional representation for H-bonding patterns in protein molecules was proposed. Since the H-bonding scheme is the main characteristic of the secondary structures in proteins, they are well depicted in this representation. Apart from this, the super secondary structures in proteins come out with characteristic patterns in the representation. The (i,j)-H-bonding scheme for some proteins was presented to exemplify the important features of the representation, and some of the structural characteristics of these proteins were discussed.
