The design and the principle of using an electromagnetic hammer was described. It is an apparatus for infliction of a standard mechanical trauma dosaged by strength, frequency, duration and the number of strokes on the limb of the laboratory animal (hamster, rat) for the production of an experimental traumatic shock.
